Copilul atins ultimul trebuie sã "mijeascã", adicã sã se aseze cu fata la un perete. El va începe sã numere pânã la 20 sau 30, în asa fel încât toti ceilalti sã aibã timp sã se ascundã.
La terminarea numãrãtoriim, cel care a "mijit" pleacã în cãutarea copiilor ascunsi. Dacã sunt vãzuti, ei pot scãpa de pedeapsa urmãritorului, dacã ating cu mâna locul de mijit înaintea urmãritorului. Jocul reîncepe în aceeasi formulã.
