Children draw a square on the ground. This represents the henhouse. One player is chosen to be the Fox and another one is chosen to be the Rooster. All other players are baby chicks. The children except Fox must remain in the henhouse. When Fox enters the henhouse, all the chicks try to run and hide behind Rooster. If the Fox catches them before they can get behind Rooster, they are out of the game and must let Fox lead out of the henhouse. The game is over when the last chick has been caught by Fox.

Participantii deseneazã un pãtrat pe terenul de joc. Acesta reprezintã adãpostul pãsãrilor.
Un jucãtor este ales sã fie vulpea, iar un altul cocosul. Ceilalti sunt puii si trebuie sã rãmânã în adãpost. Când vulpea intrã la ei, toti puii trebuie sã alerge si sã se ascundã în spatele cocosului. Dacã vulpea îi prinde înainte de a se ascunde, ei sunt eliminati din joc.
Jocul se încheie când ultimul pui este prins de vulpe.
